Grammar

Sometimes the name of a god would be spelled out, as I did in the second sentence here. However, it might also be written with simply an image representing the god, as in the last sentence of the reading.
We can make feminine equivalents of masculine nouns in Egyptian by adding a .t ending:

sn brother	sn.t sister
nTr god	nTr.t goddess
sA son	sA.t daughter

We said before that adjectives followed the noun and were the same gender (masculine or feminine) as the noun. This only applies to ones that are describing the noun, like "a good boy," "a bad girl," etc. In the last sentence of the reading we have a different situation, like "The boy is good," "Seth is evil." In this case the adjective is before the noun, and doesn't match it in gender.
